A new generation of fans know Paul Tracy as one of the two racers on Speed Channels' "Battle of the Supercars." I will always remember him as the guy that should have won the Indy 500, but the powers that be, were not going to let a CART driver win it. He was nicknamed PT and he definitely wasn't PC. He had a couple of runins with French drivers and stated that they always kept their helmets on in a fight. Paul is also nicknamed "The Thrill from West Hill." At Arizona Bike Week I met a French Canadian who called him "The Killer from West Hill," proving that racing rivalries are still strong. Paul might be done open wheel racing but he is still involved in the sport. For 2012, he can be found in a handful of races in the Rolex Sports Car Series. One constant in Paul's life has been custom motorcycles. When custom Softails and Rigids were in style, Paul was one of Ron Simms' top clients. Like the rest of us, Paul has shifted the majority of his riding time to Baggers. He was featured in Urban Bagger magazine on a Shope-built Bagger. Paul is back, on the cover and the title holder of the Baddest Bagger in Arizona. This time around, Paul is on a Trask Performance-built custom that started out as a 2011 Road Glide. The 96" Twin Cam motor received the Trask treatment.

It was bumped up to a 103" and received a Trask turbo. Black Mamba is producing 165 horses at 12 psi of boost and 170 ft.lbs. of torque. The frame's neck was cut, raked and stretched but they won't reveal the details. They will admit to using 12-degree raked trees and a fourinch over stock front end. To get the perfect riding profile, Legend Air Suspension was installed on the back. A 30" Rampage wheel rides on the front with an 18" Glenndyne Design rotor and Wilwood caliper providing the stopping power. A solid 17" wheel rides on the back.

The pull-back bars are Trask Afterburners and feature Sinister grips and Performance Machine hand controls. The fairing is a custom design by Paul Tracy and Jim Michaud. Jim was also responsible for the stretched saddlebags and fenders. Trask stretched the gas tank and supplied the floorboards and taillight. The custom seat is from Guy's Upholstery. The gauges were upgraded with Dakota Digital.

Sinthium applied the black-as-theace-of-spades base coat and the snakes and skulls graphics. Paul can be found on the Speed Channel and Trask can be reached at
